Welcome to Wurm Recreation Club

The Wurm Recreation Club (WRC), formerly the Wurm Running Club, is a group of family and friends who joined together over 20 years ago to Run/Drink Beer/Do Good! Over the years we’ve transitioned to more of a Run/Walk/Ride club and increased our support of charities, especially those raising funds for cancer care/research. Join us for family/friend fun and charity!

165K raised to date for cancer research including 55K for brain tumor research

Team Wurm Recreation Club (WRC) has been created.

After-party at the Burren! Volunteers get priority admission to the after-party!

Proceeds benefit local charities like Somerville Homeless Coalition, the Somerville High School Track team, and Stride for Stride.

National Brain Tumor Ride

When: Sunday, May 17, 2026

Where: Waltham MA

Course options for the in-person ride are 10, 25 or 50 miles. The ride has both an in-person and virtual option. Fundraising minimum is $500 for in-person and free for virtual riders.

Note: If you're interested in riding but are worried about the fundraising talk to me. We'll work it out.

We have group orders started for both Adult and Youth Gildan Sweatshirts.

Deadline to order is Tuesday December 2, 2025.

These are 2 different orders! Be sure to order Adult sizes from the Adult site and Kids sizes from the Youth site otherwise the design will be missized.
